Accredited National Registry Certified Medical Examiner Training
Become a Certified Medical Examiner in the National Registry

Friday, June 6, 1:30 – 5:30 pm, Saturday, June 7, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, Mike Megehee, DC and TEAM CME

You may have already heard that it is a requirement for all drivers of commercial vehicles to be examined by a doctor on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME). Not only is adding commercial driver medical exams, school bus physicals, and DOT drug and alcohol testing a source of revenue for your practice, it also offers an additional source of potential patients for your care. Plus, it represents a great opportunity to help the effort to increase the safety of our highways by what you bring to that exam.

It also represents a professional advancement because of our inclusion to perform commercial driver physicals makes it more difficult for others to rationalize that doctors of chiropractic are not capable to perform other types of physical exams, including school sport physicals. Chiropractic inclusion in federal training makes a convincing argument.

But you need to take the certification test; and to take the test you need to have received the correct training. That’s where the DOT Certified Medical Examiner Accredited Training Course being held at the TCA Convention, June 5-7 comes in.  This session offers the required training in order to be "test-ready" to seek certification for the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME). It’s also good for 12 CE hours.

Dr. Mike Meegehee and TeamCME will be your expert Trainers. Dr. Meegehee literally helped “write the book” as a Subject Matter Expert on the two FMCSA Teams (WIPT) that developed the ”Accredited” Physician Training for the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) and the Survey Instrument that served as the basis for National Registry certification program. Dr. Megehee has conducted thousands of DOT medical examinations and assists other physicians in their role as a DOT Medical Examiner.

Attend the training seminar and be "test ready".  As of May 21, 2014, only certified medical examiners in the NRCME will be able to perform the physical exam for commercial drivers.

What are you waiting for?
